Origin of The Escapade

Les 3 Vallées Escapade used to be a checkpoint challenge run by the ski lift companies that consisted of 14 checkpoints on different peaks in the resort. It started out by collecting stamps at the checkpoints and later they started automatically analysing the lifts you took with your ski pass. If you’d make it to all the checkpoints in 1 week you earned a nice Escapade pin. Unfortunately they stopped officially promoting the Escapade in 2017.

The Challenge: Escapade in a Single Day

In 2006 a group of skiers in La Tania came with the idea to do the entire Escapade in a single day. They’ve been actively keeping an The Day Escapaders Hall of Fame of everybody who made it since.

Every year lifts are upgraded and removed. The La Tania crew keeps updating the Escapade lift list each year to keep the challenge alive!
